In addition to looking beautiful the comfort and durability of your furniture is most important. For a design to be truly successful, certain vital steps must be followed to achieve maximum comfort and to increase the longevity of your favourite chair, sofa etc..
1. Back to basics
Once the frame is completely stripped , we check the furniture’s structure and , if necessary, repair any weaknesses. This step is very important for to increase the life of furniture.
2. Padding the back of the chair:
Padding is done with coconut fibre or horsehair. Padding must follow the line of the furniture’s frame in order to ensure maximum comfort as well as an attractive design.
4. Padding the seat:
To give a final form and to maintain the position of the coconut fibre, the furniture padding. must be firmly stitched into place in order to lengthen the life of the piece of furniture.
3. The seat deck:
Is reinforced with straps and springs.
The number of straps and the quality are very important to ensure strength as well as comfort.
Springs are then attached firmly to the straps to create a seat deck which is smooth and uniform.
